I've already replaced my FoW knight's boots with a suitable replacement. Just suck it up and replace them, or live with the boots as they are.

so im bad for trying to save people time and trying to make the game alot more easier on the people who wanted this armor and worked hard for it right...

It wouldn't take long at all very simple programing take about half an hour to an hour max also it would please alot of customers in the prosess. It may not seem like much to some people but it means alot to other who have worked hard for this armor and want it as an armor not novelty I don't class my armor as a show off peice I class it as an armor set, just like when I go to factions i will get 15k kuziack and End game armor.

oh and to Aramaki that comment was un-called for I didn't demand and no i wasn't aware that knights was bug, and calling me Lazy who do you think you are? you don't know me and I don't make personal remarks at you so back off!

I asked for no comments like go Farm or get over it this is for people who actually have worked hard for FoW armor or at least know how hard it is, Keep your negative opioions to yourself please.

Ok so youre bitching about losing 1 energy. With the incredible time it would take the devs to read through every person who wanted a change, then change it for that one persons' specific account, there are so so so so so many things that could be done.

running around with your old knight boots till you have the materials to replace them won't hurt you, get over it.

My FoW ascalon boots served me well for 10 months, guess it's time to get myself some shards again and drag myself through FoW to replace them.

too much work for Anet for something that's not realy a problem ...

Because it's Anet's fault for not fixing it early?

Hey Anet can I exchange my 15k Kurzick Knight boots too? It's expensive too and it's your fault that you fixed it only now!
Um, this wasn't an exploit. It was a feature of the armor. I know I had reported it to A.Net during the beginning of the game and there were numerous threads on this forum alone. Not to mention that watching any of the finals of the old PvP matches showed every warrior wearing one piece of knight/ascalon armor.

Don't call it an exploit when A.net has known about it for 14 months. It was a feature of the armor. Now it's changed. Not fixed, changed.

Also, calling people lazy because they don't want to farm more after all the farming they must have done in order to get FoW armor is pretty low. Think about it from their side. They've farmed for months getting their armor and they were finally done. Now they have to do more....it sucks. Berating them for thinking it sucks is not the way to get people to see your opinion.

Btw, /notsigned.

It sucks but it's the way it is. A.Net has the right to change whatever they want in this game and it just happened to hit warriors this time. Everyone's been hit by the "balance-bat" and screwed by it. Me? I've been hit numerous times and it sucked every time.

Suck it up, buy yourself some 1.5k for PvP and learn to tank with a little less armor or damage reduction in PvE. If wearing expensive armor in PvP is what you're about, then work up to it again and pray they don't "alter the bargain further" like the Vaders they are

Senior GM Max, NCsoft Europe:
Please bear in mind that individual items / skills may be subject to change without notice, if it becomes clear or the developers feel that the items / skills are unbalanced. This is true regardless of whether an item / skill is too weak or too powerful.

So it's an update for balance.

Tien Ak, Anet owe you nothing but an apology, which they already did so on the reply to you. Other than that they owe you nothing, that's why your request is politely refused. Anet did not force you to farm for long hours to get the obsidian knight/ascalon armor, you did on your own choice. If you feel that it's tedious to go through the process again, you don't have to.

If I have offended you in my first post, I apologise, for my choice of words was inappropriate. Still you should save yourself from further embarrassment and just get a new armor like other warriors.

did you even read my post? if you haven't, please do.

i understand you worked hard for your fow armor, but do you understand the difference it would make if you changed your knight's boots? all you would get is an extra +1 energy. that's it. why make a big uproar about something so insignificant.

all warriors got hit by the recent changes, not just the fow wearers. changing your boots will hardly make any difference.

all this time, you've been playing without that extra energy, and you did fine. how will an extra +1 all of a sudden make you "useful"?

seriously, think about the actual difference it would make before joining the flock of sheep going "oh noes! my armor is now useless! i need new boots!"

Aramaki Thanks for aplogising and sorry if I may have sound a bit rude myself

and to strider yeah I read you post im sure i mentioned the reason why I cared about +1 energy basiclly im just annoyied about the it and really really don't want to do all of it again, Im not trying to be greedy or being lazy im mearly trying to get the message accros that on further armor updates instead of saying go get it again they change it for you.

One thing arena net said to me when I complained about not being informed and all the lark was "We understand that changes such as this can be frustrating, particularly if a large amount of in-game currency has been spent on an item,"

well my reply to that is it doesn't have to be frustrating ok its needed to balance the game but if they changed our armor at the same time I think that would save alot of stress.

EDIT: Oh and yeah I am moving on just need to sort out my necro then get all chars into factions (for the first time) I'll prob make my warrior a W/Me so she can still soak up elemental damage. BTW after this update I was thinking about GvG and was wondering if warriors will now be used as defensive characters protecting their monks and ele's, whilst sins take over the old warrior job.
